A M&E service provider is currently seeking a Fabric Technician/ Handyperson to work at a large commercial/retail site based North of Bristol. This is a permanent position paying a salary of £25,000 per annum, Overtime opportunities are available.Job Role:Working predominantly Monday - Friday, days only - 40 hour week. You will join a rota - Working every 3rd weekend (On this week you will have Thurs & Friday as days off). Overtime available. Required to be very technically strong with great fault findingabilities and a desire to work in a demanding yet rewarding environment.Duties & Responsibilities:Carry out general building repair and maintenanceHanging of doors and fitting of new framesRepairing of windows and doorsChanging of locks, door closures and other door furnitureBasic plumbing and small leak repairsSmall painting, decoration and making good Fitting of carpet tilesTo apply relevant trade skills to carry out reactive maintenance standardsEnsure health and safety of sites are met to regulation standardsThe M&E provider is an established; specialist and well respected provider in the industry and one which continually strives to deliver the best possible employees to its clients. Make, Do & Mend projects from start to finish.Reporting to the M&E Manager / Supervisor.To apply relevant trade skills to carry out planned and reactive maintenance tasks.To assist the electrical engineers when possible.Candidate requirements;Proven general building and maintenance repairsExperience and skills in CarpentryGeneral plumbing repairs e.g. small leaks and replacing tap washersGeneral electrics e.g. replacing light switches and fittingsRelevant trade qualifications, such as City & Guilds / BTEC National Diploma / NVQ 2 Building Maintenance / Carpentry / Plastering are preferred.Essential to have excellent client facing skillsFor further information please do not hesitate to contact Jamie.
