Job Description

About the roleWorking within a team to oversee general maintenance and repair throughoutRegional Service Centres (RSC), ensuring the centres meet legal compliance for maintenance.The successful candidate will effectively manage all third party service contracts, offer technical support to RSCs and maintain accurate records in regard to building and equipment maintenance.Role Responsibility

  • To review all risk assessments and method statements and align to be effective
  • Ensuring through effective management of third party suppliers aresupported with relevant and appropriaterisk assessments, method statements and permits to work.
  • To monitor and manage maintenance spend to budgetary constraints
  • Overseeing other facilities contracts
  • To support the weekly RSC H&S evaluations and using the output to drive necessary improvements
  • Manage effective communication with all internal & external contacts
  • To provide out of hours support for emergencies at the RSC
  • Implement planned maintenance schedules
You will need.In addition to below, the successful candidate must be confident in both written and verbal communication and have the ability to make decisions and responsibly manage contractors on site. You must be self starting with the ability to work alone and havea willingness to learn.Essential Requirements
  • TEC/City & Guilds or time served apprenticeship in an electrical / mechanical environment or building services.
  • Full driving licence
  • Good working knowledge of building services and managing contactors / service providers
  • Working knowledge of electrical / mechanical systems i.e heating, ventilation etc.
  • Experience or working to required H&S standards.
  • Intermediate level MS Excel & good understanding with MS Word & Powerpoint.
  • Ability to work from technical drawings
  • Current driving licence and the ability to travel between RSCs where required
Desirable
  • IOSH Managing Safely
  • Working in a fast moving environment & used to working to deadlines & cost constraints
  • Good working knowledge of all the applicable regulations applying to depots / place of work
  • A knowledge of racking systems
You will also need good diagnostic and problem solving skills.
