Job Description

People & Organisational DevelopmentPaisley Campus HR Data & Systems Analyst£31,411 to £37,474 per annumFull time, PermanentTHE POST - HR Data & Systems AnalystThis is an exciting opportunity to join University of the West of Scotland (UWS), one of Higher Educations most innovative modern universities. The Department of People and O.D. is looking to recruit an experienced HR Data and Systems Analyst who will haveresponsibility for the HR & Payroll Integrated System, including having a key role in the improvements and configuration needs for iTrent and improving the simplicity of the applications and workflows for all UWS users. The postholder will manage and ensuredata integrity across the system and maintain system security, configuration workflow and analytics and be responsible for the interrogation, analysis and effective presentation of HR statistical and management information and will lead on the design and developmentof an on-going suite of reports using Business Objects software.The successful candidate should have the following:

  • An HND or equivalent qualification
  • Extensive knowledge and experience of HR/Payroll system administration duties
  • Experience of interpreting and analysing large organisational data sets (ideally HR)
  • Experience of developing and presenting complex statistical and analytical management information using reporting tools (ideally Business Objects)
  • Experience of developing an HR & Payroll System
  • Experience of working in HR role within Higher Education or the public sector is desirable
  • Excellent analytical, methodical and creative problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
  • Excellent IT skills including development of complex reports and use of advanced functions in Excel to present information in a user-friendly way
  • An ability to work independently; prioritise workload, set and meet deadlines
  • An ability to work together with a team and be able to build effective relationships with colleagues across the University
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • An ability to deal with confidential and sensitive information
  • An innovative, proactive and flexible, with the motivation to continuously improve and develop
