Job Description

Thermofisher has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Reporting Accountant within our Financial Reporting team as part of our Global Business Services Centre of Excellence. The centre provides financial controllership in the region across various Thermo Fisher Scientific groups, including Life Sciences Solutions,Special Diagnostics and Laboratory Products. Currently we are responsible a large number of entities reporting a total of $2 Billion of revenue per year.Location: PaisleyDivision Specific InformationThe position is in the Accounting and Reporting team of our European Centre of Excellence. The centre provides financial controllership in the region for two of the Thermo Fisher Scientific groups - Life Sciences Solutions and Special Diagnostics. We are responsible for a large number of entities reporting a total of $2 Billion of revenue per year. What will you do

  • Assist in overseeing Accurate and timely Monthly, Quarterly, Annual financial reporting for the region
  • Assist in the monthly territory review process
  • Prepare and report on regional group analytics and key performance indicators
  • Support the SOX and group reporting externalaudit process for EMEA
  • Support the SOX InternalAudit process for EMEA
  • Support local GAAP financial statement preparation process
  • Complete special projects as required
    • What are we looking for
  • Ability to lead team by setting exemplary standards
  • Able to organise and prioritise multiple complex situations
  • High level of proactivity to drive continuous improvement
  • Deep technical accounting knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills to interact at various levels inside and outside the organization
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Previous experience in a large scale organisation would be beneficial
  • Previous experience of external audit would be advantageous
  • Qualified Accountant (CA, CIMA or ACCA
