Job Description

Pertemps are currently working with a leading organisation based in Renfrewshire who are looking to add to the finance team.   • To identify customer cheque payments and ensure that these are matched to the correct customer invoices
  • To ensure that cheque payments are processed in a controlled and effective way to facilitate subsequent bank reconciliation
  • To monitor bank accounts and suspense accounts ensuring that all direct payments from customers (BACS and direct debits) are identified and matched to the correct customer invoices
  • To liaise with customers to resolve problematic payments (this will include investigation of transactions on individual customer accounts)
  • To liaise with area admin staff to investigate, identify and resolve customer payments received at local area offices
  • to use effective internal controls including batch headers and other mechanisms to provide assurance as to the accuracy and completeness of customer payments processed
Skills Required;You will have great communication skills (verbally and written) and an excellent telephone manner having previously worked within a customer-focused environment.You will have proven experience working with a computerised finance system and be confident working within a high-volume fast paced environment.To find out more please apply on the link on call Linda Currie.Pertemps acts as both an employment business and an employment agency.
