Job Description

Are you a motivated and reliable person looking for a new opportunity in a Warehouse Operative roleWe are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our Paignton (TQ4 7NG) warehouse and are looking for hardworking individuals to join the team!Whistl UK is one of the leading retail fulfilment and logistics businesses in the UK. The Whistl family is made up of motivated, passionate, and capable individuals working together as a team - without them, we would not be where we are today.We are looking for fantastic people to join our seasonal warehouse team based at our Paignton site, with experience of working in a fast-paced warehouse environment.This will be on a fixed-term contract up to the end of December 2023. We have some temp-to-perm opportunities for those wishing to progress.As a Warehouse Operative, you will be accurately picking and packing customer orders and carrying out personalisation of jewellery.In all aspects of our work, we need to ensure that the highest standards of customer care are met at all times.The shift pattern for this role is Sunday to Thursday inclusive, 10am to 6pm or 8am to 4pm OR Tuesday to Saturday inclusive, 10am to 6pm or 8am to 4pm.37.5 hours per week.

  • Basis of employment: Fixed term, immediate start to end of December 2023
  • Temp to perm opportunities will be considered, dependant on performance and business need
  • Salary: Equivalent rate of £10.50 per hour
  • Authorised overtime: After 40 hours per week, payable at time and a half
  • Holiday entitlement: Accrued as standard and paid to you as a lump sum in your final salary if you have not used your holiday allowance before the end of your contract

  • Café available at South Devon College during term time
  • We are located on a regular bus route (Stagecoach 22 / 23)
This Warehouse Operative role would suit candidates with experience, or an interest in developing their skills in the following areas: Warehouse, Pick, Packing, Warehousing, Warehouse Operative. Essential Skills
  • Motivation and stamina are essential in this physical role.
  • Competent levels of Maths and English (verbal and written) and basic computer skills as you will be scanning items and printing labels
  • Flexibility and willingness to undertake different tasks with speed and accuracy.
  • Reliability - good timekeeping and attendance.
  • Ability to work on your own and as part of team to ensure work is completed.
  • Strong health and safety awareness.
Desirable Skills Previous experience in a similar working environment would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.
