Job Description

We are looking for alooking for a remote Cloud Software Developer (Python or C++, AWS or Azure) to join a new team and do amazing things with Software which will be used by BILLIONS of people across the world.As part of the immediate project you willbuild tools for the Autonomous Car/Unmanned Aircraft/Air Taxi industry.Just about every device that uses GPS and Satellite services will have touched the software this company produces - this is an exciting opportunity as they launch a new division.The Tech Stack:This is to give you a flavour, dont worry if you havent used it all!

  • Mainly AWS based, although strong experience in Azure or GCP will be considered
  • Python and C++ (dont worry if you favour one more than the other)
  • Docker, Kubernetes, Rackspace, OpenStack
  • Terraform
  • Apache Kafka; ActiveMQ; ElasticStack (again any Message Queuing experience is fine)
  • SQL and NoSQL databases and experiencewith related data stores such as Postgres
  • Git and GItHub
The Role:
  • Cloud Software Developer - Python, AWS, Docker, Terraform, Kubernetes, C++
  • Fully remote (although offices in Exeter, Birmingham, and London)
  • Working in a small and collaborative team within a bigger business - Thinkof this as a Start-Up with a huge "backer"
  • Building software that will support BILLIONS of users across the world, providing real-time data
  • Almost full SDLC, the product has been in Development for 2 years and is just about to reach 1st stage deployment
  • Lots of Cloud development focus, deploying Python/C++ code to AWS, making sure it works across multiple platforms
The Benefits!:
  • £50,000 - £63,000 + 5% bonus (Salary inc bonus up to £67,000)
  • 25 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) increasing by 1 day per year from 5 years service, up to a max of 30 days
