Job Description

Schoolblazer is the leading supplier of uniform and sportswear to independent schools. We are now seeking a Junior Designer to join our busy team. Schoolblazer was founded in 2004 with a simple mission: to transform the school uniform market with a new approach to product, service and channel. We are an online only business, creating bespoke product ranges for over 180 schools and have delivered 16 years of consistent, profitable growth.We design and manufacture uniforms and sportswear ranges for some of the most prestigious schools around the country, all sold online through our website, www.schoolblazer.com.We are expanding the business globally and already have a presence in mainland Europe. Our Head Office is in Oundle, near Peterborough and we have a large warehouse in Mansfield.THE ROLEYou will:

  • Work alongside our Designer and the sales team to create mood boards and CAD designs for our partner schools
  • Be allocated your own projects
  • Work on wider business projects
  • Liaise with our fabric mills and buying teams to create new products and fabrics
  • Review new trends and present these to Schools Team and Buyers
  • You will have:
  • Ideally studied a Creative Design or Fashion Design
  • Keen to gain an insight into the Fashion and Garment industry
  • Organised and versatile
  • Familiar with Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • It would be a bonus to have some experience in creating garment technical drawings
  • Have a flair for product and a strong sense of colour and style
