Job Description

Bennett and Game are currently working with a leading Transport & Warehousing firm actively seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to join their team to assist in the continued growth and development of their north Leeds site.Our client are leaders in total Warehouse, Distribution and Supply-chain Operations, and are currently looking to recruit an experienced Warehouse Manager to assist in the overall management of full warehouse operations.Warehouse Manager Position OverviewWithin this role you will manage the companys small but critical operations team and manage the operational elements of the business, as well as the customers expectations and service levels, internally and externally.Key responsibilities will include:

  • Reporting to the General Manager, shift planning, communication, and attendance management, as well as ensuring the day-to-day operations run smoothly, this will include staff HR responsibility.
  • A daily must is to ensure the compliance of plant, equipment and training requirements, ensuring accreditations are gained maintained.
  • WMS experience is essential, report generation as well and working with the Inventory and Operations Team Leader to generate a world class stock accuracy operation. Kanban, JIT, FiFo experience would be beneficial and exposure to the 5 Whys or 8D routecause investigation tools.
  • Management of all customers requirements on site and drive a continuous improvement culture.
  • Management of the end-to-end process, with the enthusiasm to exceed targets.
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders and customers to always ensure smooth operations.
Warehouse Manager Position Requirements
  • Hold IOSH or NEBOSH qualifications - Highly desirable
  • Experience of pallet distribution and goods in good out
  • NVQ Level 5 or above in Warehouse Management (or equivalent experience)
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to liaise with board level
  • PC skills and experience in a WMS, generating reports for the customer base and internal circulation, with the management of KPIs and financial responsibility
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make evidence led decisions
  • Experience in an ISO or BRC environment (preferred but not essential)
Warehouse Manager Position Remuneration
  • Salary DOE - £38 - 45k
  • Monday - Friday (45 hr working week)
