This family owned and managed weaving mill near Otley is looking for an experienced Weaving Technician to join their team. As a Weaving Machine Technician, you will work in a key supervisory position within the production team to ensure continuous, efficientrunning of machinery and personnel. You will also ensure accurate and prompt start-up of new warps and carry out maintenance to ensure that all machinery is maintained to a good standard.In addition to the specific duties outlined below, as a Weaving Machine Technician you will also ensure that a high standard of housekeeping is maintained within the weaving shed and workshop areas. You will also be responsible for assisting in the maintenanceof a safe working environment through the strict adherence to company health and safety rules and procedures and ensure that all Personal Protective Equipment as issued is used.This is an excellent opportunity to work for a mill with long-standing history and excellent reputation in their field.EMPLOYMENT DETAILS:* Full-time / Permanent* Shifts: 12-hour shift work (week 1 - 48 hours / week 2 - 36 hours) on rotation.* Salary - up to £34,000 per annum, including shift allowance dependant on experienceATTRIBUTES & EXPERIENCE:* Previous experience in this role as a Weaving / Machine Technician is required* Fault finding and problem-solving skills.* Mechanical aptitude.* Good communication skills.* Attention to detail and organisation skills.* Good Numeracy skills.* Ability to multi-task and prioritise in a fast-paced environment.* Be proactive and flexible.* Uses own initiative and can work independently or as part of a team.* Excellent timekeeping.SPECIFIC DUTIES INCLUDE:* Ensure that looms run to optimum efficiency for the fabric style being produced.* Ensure accurate start-up of new warps, checking construction against process Instruction sheet and passing standard.* Produce a passing strip, thoroughly check against process Instruction sheet ready for submission to quality control office.* Ensure the general maintenance of the looms - in response to breakdowns and in line with the preventative maintenance program.* Monitor spare parts stock levels and report back to the Weaving Director.* Document any repairs/adjustments carried out to looms.* Make routine inspections of all the looms to ensure the absence of faults and identify and rectify faults diagnosed at the perch/mending.* Maintain and repair other machinery within the factory other than looms i.e., perch, looming machine, winders, and warping mills.* Undertake basic electrical fault-finding tasks such as checking for blown fuses and the replacement of printed circuit boards.Please apply with an updated CV.Key Appointments UK Ltd will assess your suitability for the role based on the information contained in your CV and application.
