Job Description

REED Community Care in Leedsare looking to recruit motivated and considerate Support Workers that are committed to providing high-quality, person-centred care and support.We have worked in the Community for many years and support Adults, Children, Young People and Families which enables people to live as independently as possible in their own homes and take part in the local community.We are currently looking for Support Workers to work in Otley on a regular basis.If you are looking for a support / care role and are passionate about delivering a high quality, consistent and reliable service please get in touch.We have several packages of care locally that support Service Users with Learning Disabilities,Autism and Schizophrenia.The duties will involve:

  1. Supporting the customer in the community with activities like visiting the cinema, or at home listening to music and watching a film
  2. Support the customer to travel to the hospital - driver is an advantage but not essential
  3. Completing all necessary paperwork required for the support plan
  4. Building a professional rapport whilst respecting the confidentiality of the client
  5. Communicating effectively with colleagues, parents and professionals
Requirements:We are looking for Support Workers with a genuine passion for care, with a mature attitude, flexible and can work alone out in the communityA minimum of 12 months experience within a healthcare environment, preferably supporting clients with learning disabilities, autism, challenging behaviour, complex or mental health needsThe ability to be patient and calm under pressureOutstanding communication skillsReliable and trustworthyEligible to work in the UKAccess to your own transport is desirable, however this is not essentialWe can offer you:Weekly pay plus holiday payFlexible working hoursOn-going FREE trainingA dedicated consultant and 24/7 on call serviceVariety of work placementsRefer a friend bonus schemeIncentives and rewards
