About the Role40 Hours per week£31,143 to £38,971 Subject to banding*We are looking for a Lead Equipment Technician to join our friendly, fast-paced Logistics team at St John Ambulance. Reporting to our National Equipment Manager, the Lead Equipment Technician will work closely with healthcare professionals to supply maintenance,medical device training and calibration of a wide range of medical equipment. This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing team on a permanent, full-time basis. This role offers the flexibility of being based anywhere across England, however significanttravel across the country, including overnight stays, is essential to the role to ensure that maintenance and compliance is adhered to at all times.In this exciting and varied role, you will lead a team of 4 Equipment Technicians to provide maintenance, servicing, inspection and repair to a wide range of complex medical equipment across England as well as deputising for the National Equipment Manageras and when required, so experience in managing a small team would be advantageous to this role. You will be responsible for maintaining records of all work undertaken, adequate stocks of appropriate components/spares, development of the Asset Management Systemand managing a budget to fulfil all responsibilities of the role.You will also provide technical advice and support to departments in relation to the equipment used as well as provide first line support and advice to the team, ensuring that compliance with audits and CQC requirements remains paramount.Can be based at any manned SJA office.*Please note that this role is currently under review by our job banding team and the salary will be dependent on the final decision on the banding of the role in line with our current pay structure.Please see the job description for more detail (this can be viewed on our website or once you click apply)About YouYou will have experience in organising and managing equipment servicing, ideally in a medical, technical or mechanical engineering field, and an Electrical or Engineering qualification would be advantageous (minimum Level 3 qualification).
