The Stroke Unit at Princess Royal University Hospital is one of eight large Hyper Acute Stroke Centres within the Pan London Stroke Network. The Stroke Unit at The Princess Royal Hospital provides emergency stroke services to a diverse local community and expert clinical services for both regional and local stroke patients. The service is continually expanding and developing offering new and exciting career options.The services provided include TIA Clinic, Hyper Acute Stroke care and Acute Stroke Rehabilitation. This is a strong clinical specialty, combined with a nursing and clinical team committed to high clinical standards and a supportive environment which makes us a compelling career option for ambitious nurses.The team also has a strong multidisciplinary focus and the successful candidate will need to be able to work inter-professionally and link closely with the team to achieve the best possible outcomes for the client group.You will be a highly committed individual who can demonstrate passion and dedication to provide high quality patient care, with the support of senior nursing staff to make you a part of a skilled and competent nursing workforce. We will ensure you have the support to be able to achieve your own developmental objectives within the vision of the unit.We are looking for self-motivated and dynamic nurses. Post registration experience in an acute setting or neuroscience nursing is desirable but not essential. Newly qualified nurses also welcome to apply, and we will support you with a bespoke preceptorship programme.
