Along with a salary of up to £50,000 per annum, you will also receive a private pension, 23 days holiday and excellent career prospects.We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who has worked within a manufacturing business with a good understanding of sheet metal manufacturing and tooling requirements, laser cutting and manual MIG/TIG welding, CNC rolling, CNC folding as well as Robotwelding implementation/utilization.You will work closely with the Technical Director and Production Director assisting in the smooth manufacture and development of new and existing products and manufacturing processes. You will assist with any technical issues, complete, and resolve customerqueries, whilst also ensuring that all manufacturing processes and equipment used comply with safety and environmental legislation.Your responsibilities will include:

• Working closely with the Technical Director assisting where necessary with new designs of new products and projects as and when necessary
• Provide day-to-day support to the production director to enable customer schedule adherence
• Suggest changes to/and support engineering, working to ensure the most cost-effective manufacturing process flows are defined when introducing new products into operations
• Raise NCRs and contribute to closing out NCRs when activities and processes do not conform, and root cause analysis to further continuous improvement.
• Update and follow through manufacturing drawing, documentation, and quality updates.
• Advise on value added tooling giving details of design and manufacture.
• Consider alternative modern manufacturing processes to decrease manufacturing cost and time while increasing quality levels.
• Completing manufacturing drawings using Autodesk 2d AutoCAD and Autodesk 3D Inventor
• Resolve technical queries within manufacturing and with the team
• Carrying out design calculations for specific projects as and when required
• Liaising with customers throughout the process of their order
• Involved with ASME processes and paperwork, also working with the Production Director for ASME inspections scheduling.
• Following a Quality management system ISO9001

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer who has the following skills and experiences:

• Extensive experience in the sector or in the same/similar role
• Good understanding of sheet metal manufacturing and tooling requirements and implementation.
• Able to read and understand drawings.
• Familiar with Engineering and drawing Control processes.
• Familiar with ISO9001-2015 protocols
• ASME, CE, UL manufacturing standards
• Engineering from concept/design
• Knowledge using CAD software, AutoCAD
• Able to work under own initiative and formulate strategies for continual improvement
• Experience in Validation principles and Protocols
• Able to identify areas on improvement within the engineering and production processes
