This business provides data management and archiving solutions for geophysical and geological data for the oil and gas data. They are looking for a graduate with a Geoscience / Geology related degree to join them. While there are positions available immediately, they can also wait for the right person, if you are currently in your final year.Working as part of a tight-knit team, you will be ingesting and delivering seismic products to clients’ specifications. This will involve the management of large data volumes and associated media, using structured internal and client databases, and utilising in-house and external software.Key requirements are an eye for detail, excellent communication skills, the ability to take responsibility and delivering results consistently and on time.Good current knowledge of seismic and navigation data, together with an understanding of the seismic acquisition and processing cycle is required. In addition, you should have the ability to search for, find and solve problems.You will have the opportunity to take ownership of a job and work unsupervised. Some of the main tasks include:· QC and ingest data to GIS fronted databases· Cut, QC and deliver seismic data products, using navigation/shapefile data and in-house software· Liaise with clients, colleagues, IT and management· Manage and maintain physical media storageLocation is Orpington, commutable from Bromley, Dartford, Sidcup and Croydon.Sound good If so please apply asap-the closing dates on our advertising are for guidance only and we always encourage early applications where possible.
