Job Description

About the role:This position is a key role within the Quality Team, supporting the Audit Program Manager in the delivery of management and the audit program of the quality system for potable and waste sampling.You will be responsible for supporting adherence to the continued accreditation to ISO17025, DWTS, and MCERTS for sampling activities.This is a varied role where you will support the Quality Manager in designing and delivering the audit program and Quality Management System (QMS).You will also aid the sample teams in the organisation of external proficiency testing and assist in the review of results/investigation.Key Accountabilities:

  • Organise and conduct Technician audits in the potable and waste sample teams across Thames Water sites in the London area
  • Occasionally travel across the Thames Water region will be required
  • Organise and conduct Quality Systems audits for sampling policies
  • Assist with the preparations and participate in external audit activities (e.g. UKAS, Environment Agency)
  • Provide advice, support, and training to the laboratory and sampling teams
  • Identify, report and resolve issues where errors and anomalies are detected in records
  • Support with the review, revision, and issue of process documentation adhering to change controls and requirements of QMS/ISO17025
  • Design and deliver QMS awareness briefings to laboratory and sampling staff
  • Provide accurate, timely and appropriate information in response to customer enquiries
  • Monthly updates to the EQA and KPI data for quality management requirements
  • To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:
  • Degree (or higher level) or equivalent relevant experience in science, engineering or a similar discipline
  • Previous experience of using quality management systems
  • Experience assisting in the managing, development or maintenance of ISO17025 accredited Quality Management System
  • Previous experience of working within the Drinking Water Industry and regulatory field
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with key stakeholders across the business
  • Ability to work well in a team as well as independently
  • Competent with Microsoft Office Tools
  • Experience of lone working and confined space would be advantageous
  • Due to the nature of the role, travel will be required and therefore a full clean driving licence and vehicle will be required for the role – you will be paid mileage allowance for travel
