Job Description

A global manufacturing business of combustion management and control systems for industrial burner applications is looking for an Electrical Production Operative with experience in a production environment and electro-mechanical assembly to join its team.Along with a salary of up to £25,000 per annum, you will also receive private healthcare, 23 days holiday, 5 family days for emergencies / problems with childcare / plumbers etc plus a death in service benefit. They are well known in their industry forquality, excellence, and innovation, and whilst they are a global business, they are still very much a family firm and are celebrating their 50thyear this year. As an Electrical Production Operative, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assembling and testing products in accordance with work instructions, test procedures,
  • quality standards, drawings, work orders and good practice company standards.
  • Recording test and calibration data into QA database.
  • Understand drawings, technical manuals, and instructions to perform assembly and
  • testing activities.
  • Recommending improvements or modifications to improve the assembly processes and/or
  • quality of the products.
  • Keeping the workplace clean and tidy in accordance with company 5S standards.
  • Training and guiding other production staff when required.
  • Carrying out work safely with minimising possible hazards and risks.
  • Operating power and manual tools safely to avoid accidents.
  • Reporting any H&S issues or near misses.
  • Wearing provided PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company uniform as required.
  • Follow company guidelines, procedures, and policies.
We are looking for an Electrical Production Operativewho has the following skills and experiences:
  • Electro-mechanical assembly experience.
  • Electronic background and soldering skills are an advantage.
  • Suitable industry qualifications advantage.
  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Teamwork - working with the existing team of engineers.
  • Dependable and able to concentrate on the task in hand.
  • Ability to be cross-trained.
  • A structured mind and an eye for detail are considered essential for this position.
  • Strong Communication skills with ability to communicate across all levels.
  • Problem solving / critical thinking.
  • Ability to follow instructions and production schedules.
  • Ability to act quickly when a problem arises.
  • Be proactive, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Enthusiastic, with a can-do attitude.
  • Computer literate.
