Job Description

Julie Rose Recruitment are looking for a Product Advisor to join their client, a successful and stable family run business with a fantastic reputation, offering bespoke products to their customers. This role is not a cold calling role, there is an elementof soft selling/customer service but no hard sales, all work is generated through good customer service and recommendation.Salary: Basic - £18 to £30K, OTE £45 to £70KHours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday. Saturday visits are by appointment only and are avoided. The company is shut on Bank Holidays. No evening appointments, no appointments longer than one hour.Main Duties of the Product Advisor:

  • Selling products and services, creating a compelling buying experience for the customer
  • Developing existing customer relationships and sourcing new business
  • Meet and greet customers visiting the Orpington based display room in a professional manner
  • Listen to customers and identify their requirements
  • Demonstrate the features and benefits of products using up to date visual IT software
  • Take calls from new or existing customers, assessing customer needs
  • Arrange and carry out appointments both in the Orpington based display room and in customers homes
  • Produce formal quotations using the inhouse software
Person Specification for the Product Advisor:
  • Demonstrated sales experience is advantageous but not essential, its more about being the right person for the role, having strong customer service skills and providing a top class support to the client
  • A willingness to learn and understand the full range of products and sign up to the ethos of providing an excellent, non pushy service to the client
  • Polite, friendly, well presented and professional
  • Numerate, with the ability to think logically and objectively when making decisions
  • Strong IT skills as the company use up to date visual display systems
  • A flair for design would be useful
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good problem-solving skills with the ability to identify cost efficient solutions to problems
  • Hands on, results focused and motivated to work to deadlines
  • Motivated to achieve targets and goals with a can do attitude
  • Full UK driving licence is essential
