The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King’s College Hospital (KCH) sites at Denmark Hill in Camberwell and at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in the London Borough of Bromley.Join us for an opportunity to work in this newly created 8b Principal Clinical Neuropsychology post leading neuropsychology provision in the stroke service at the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH).The post is within the King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Department of Clinical Neuropsychology (Neuropsychological Rehabilitation team). The Department is made up of 15 clinical (neuro) psychologists working within adult and child diagnostic neuropsychology and neurorehabilitation including acute stroke, brain injury and inpatient neurorehabilitation.This post involves providing clinical and professional leadership within stroke neuropsychology and the wider multidisciplinary stroke team and providing supervision to 1 WTE clinical psychologists in neuropsychological rehabilitation also working in stroke. The post involves some ward level neuropsychological input for a hyper-acute and acute stroke unit and active involvement in setting up an agreed outpatient clinical neuropsychology clinic for stroke.The KCH Clinical Neuropsychology Department has strong links with the King’s College London Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IOPPN) offering placements for trainee clinical psychologists and supporting students completing the master’s programme in neuropsychiatry. Many within the department are actively involved in teaching and research.Applicants should be registered as clinical psychologists with the Health and Care Professions Council.
