Job Description

Biomedical Engineering Team Leader Orpington Our client is looking for an experienced Biomedical Engineering Team Leader to join their team based in Orpington.To be considered for this role you must be certified in OME trainings, hold an HNC in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) qualifications in Engineering, Electronics or Medical Technologies such as Biomedical Engineering. Minimum 5 years’ experience within a hospital, workshop or field service environment, along with ONC/OND in a related Engineering discipline.Purpose of the role

  • To induct, develop and support a team of Biomed Engineers to ensure customer satisfaction and to exceed contract KPIs
  • To supervise the workload of the team, allocating team members to optimize productivity
  • To perform scheduled preventative maintenance (PM) on medical equipment as per manufacturer’s guidelines
  • To travel to various sites as required to perform Corrective and Preventive Maintenance
  • To complete repairs as required on medical equipment as per manufacturer’s guidelines
  • To complete associated admin needed to close repairs and PMs as outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures
  • To maintain safe working practices within the hospital environment
  • To comply with the Quality Assurance and Environmental, Health & Safety policies, and work to maintain a high standard of customer service and protect your health and safety and that of your colleagues, our customers and members of the public. Promptlyraise any concerns regarding potential violations of the policies
  • Maintain spare part stock wherever necessary
  • Directly support the Operational Centre Leader as needed
  • Attend customer meetings when required
  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers for spare part and contract quotations
Essential Experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience within a hospital, workshop or field service environment
  • Excellent customer relationships
  • ONC/OND in a related Engineering discipline
  • Scheduling and completing workload for assigned customers within area
  • Maintaining service documentation in line with business requirements
Essential Qualifications & Skills
  • Certified OEM trainings
  • HNC in Electrical Electronic Engineering or equivalent
  • Qualification in Engineering, electronics or medical technologies such as biomedical engineering.
  • PC literate
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to manage heavy workloads, prioritising as appropriate
  • Review ways to improve productivity and reduce operating expenditure
  • Ensure data integrity within the management systems
