Job Description

This opportunity has arisen for an experienced dynamic and highly motivated Leader for the Customer Service function. This role is idea for anyone who take pride in developing a best in class function.Working in this small and specialist function youll be the internal voice of the customer and aim to develop a seamless customer journey.Client DetailsThis business are a large Manufacturing business with excellent financial track record, they operate within a specialist market and will offer hands on training to learn about their products in detail.Working for a growing UK business you will be based in a hub of activity, HQ consists of around 150 staff with departments based across 2 buildings.DescriptionKey Responsibilities will include;

  • To lead, train, develop and motivate Customer Service team ensuring that all CSRs are fully conversant with individual customer needs
  • Youll be an advocate for the SAP system and support the team in using technology to maximise efficiency.
  • Forge relationships between other essential departments, youll be working closely with other department heads to ensure the agreements with customers are upheld
  • Close co-ordination with European Export team to ensure buying patterns, stock and logistics are correct and in line with plans.
  • To recognise and enable to team to recognise revenue potential from customers previous buying patterns
  • Develop team members from Customer Service into Account Managers
  • Management of a large budget for logistics and transportation, working closely with these suppliers to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Develop a new training and onboarding process to train, develop and reward team members
  • Provide regular updates on lead time and availability to both internal (domestic & Export) external customers to ensure high level first time accuracy and professional communication on all order related matters.
ProfileThe successful candidate for the role will match all criteria below (and be able to add more)*Manufacturing / Supply Chain experience is essential (Customer Service Leadership only)*Experienced in house Customer Service Manager*Hands on People Manager*Professional background to include all aspects of staff management within customer services*Experience working as part of a senior leadership team*Comfortable and experienced in pitching ideas to board level*Experienced in being self managed*SAP skillsJob OfferThis role offers
  • Working hours are 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8.30am - 5.00pm.
  • Opportunity to work from home for 2-3 days per week.
