Job Title: Quantity SurveyorLocation: Oldham, Greater Manchester, UKAbout the Company:Join an established main contractor based in Oldham, Greater Manchester, specializing in refurbishment projects. As the business shifts towards more experienced hires, we are seeking a Quantity Surveyor to become the sole Quantity Surveyor of the company. Theprojects primarily involve refurbishments with values ranging from £50,000 to £5 million, focusing on government-based contracts such as schools, universities, healthcare, and hospitals.Job Overview:As the Quantity Surveyor for our company, you will be a key player in managing the financial aspects of projects, dealing with a variety of refurbishments in the public sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for liaising with subcontractors andclients, visiting sites, and taking on some estimating duties to support the Contracts Managers.Responsibilities:Project Financial Management: Oversee the financial aspects of refurbishment projects, ensuring accurate cost control.Government-Based Contracts: Manage projects predominantly in the public sector, including schools, universities, healthcare, and hospitals.Subcontractor and Client Interaction: Effectively deal with subcontractors and clients throughout project lifecycles.Site Visits: Regularly visit project sites to ensure accurate project assessment and management.Estimating Duties: Take on some estimating duties to support the Contracts Managers.Qualifications:Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in refurbishment projects.Strong understanding of government-based contracts.Competent in dealing with subcontractors and clients.Ability to take on estimating duties is desirable.Package:Salary:£40,000 to £50,000, flexible for the right candidate.Opportunities for career growth within a dynamic and expanding main contracting business.Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy.
