Are you an experienced Production Planner, who is looking to work in a fast paced, global, market leading company Here at Innovative Technology,we have an excellent opportunity for a Production Planner to join our talented team at our global head office in Oldham, Manchester.Were InnovativeWere heading towards our 30th year here at Innovative Technology, where we now have offices on five continents and employ around 400 people, with over 100 based from our state-of-the-art R&D hub and global head office in Oldham, Manchester.From self-service checkouts to arcade machines, we provide our retail, banking, kiosk, vending, gaming and amusement customers with products and services that help them securely accept automated payments, with our industry leading technology keeping us atthe forefront of our sector.The Production Planner role overview:In this new and exciting role you will work closely with production, sales and finance to ensure that we are meeting our customers requirements by ensuring that we have stock and resources in place to enable production to complete all orders on time andin full. You will also be working with our offshore manufacturing base and our suppliers so that they are fully aware of our expectations and demands. With an extensive product range and a high profile customer base, this role is crucial to our business development.On a day to day basis you will work closely with production and manufacturing , and suppliers whilst developing long-term systems and strategies to have the correct stock in place for order completion.With our aim of having world-class standards of organisation this is a fantastic opportunity for an established and proven Technical Procurement Engineer to take the next step in their careers, in our fast-paced, ever-changing environment. The right candidatewill come with a passion for standards and continuous improvement through their people, ideally in an electro-mechanical environment.Responsibilities of our Production Planner:

  • Acting as an interactive partner responsible for advance planning schedules to be available to manufacturing to meet order commitments, initiate cost reduction projects and monitor sales trends and warehouse stock
  • Ensuring that suppliers are meeting delivery timescales and using data analysis to drive inventory control programs
  • Leading meetings involving internal stakeholders to raise alerts when necessary to highlight potential issues on stock or customer orders that might adversely affect delivery and to implement immediate corrective actions that will enable recovery to avoidan impact on our customers
  • Developing effective strategies for business development and stock control systems, reporting to senior management on how the company can develop internal processes for optimal productive output
  • Enhance the planning and scheduling process for customer orders and projects, creating innovative strategic plans to deliver effective solutions which will aid production
  • Working with Production and Sales by ensuring that the sales forecast data is converted into plans to have the correct range of products available on time to meet customer orders
Your Skills & Experience of our Production Planner:
  • Qualification in either Engineering, Inventory management or Business Economics
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator with knowledge of production systems and MS Office skills with a technical background and financial awareness
  • Knowledge of LEAN tools and KPIs to aid improved business efficiency and controls
  • Organisational and excellent decision making ability in a dynamic environment
  • Strong collaborative and influencing ability with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects and different product lines
