Job Description

KS3/4 Science SpecialistFULL TIME, UNTIL JULY 2023 - STARTS ASAP (OR APRIL 2023)Prospero Teaching is looking for a Science teacher for one of our long-standing partner schools in Oldham. You will be responsible for teaching Science to Key Stages 3 and 4, and some lower school History. Resources and schemes of work are plentiful andto a high standard, and the classrooms have recently undergone thorough modernisation.The school is a mainstream Secondary School with a supportive cover team and teaching staff. The school is going from strength to strength and providing CPD throughout the year. Our school is easily accessible by road (M62 and A621) - you can also walk tothe school from local train and tram stations. The appointment of a new behavioural support team has seen drastic improvements of levels of in-school truancy and general low-level disruption.You will be paid to scale from day one of this assignment and we are available to discuss this role with teaching professionals as soon as possible.CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS

  • Location - Oldham, Lancashire

  • Hours - 8:30 am - 3.30pm
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Recent Graduate, with a 2:2 or higher
  • UK Qualified Teacher Status is essential for this role
  • Previous experience working in a UK school
  • Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
  • Hold Right to Work in the UK
  • Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
  • Provide two professional child related references
