Job Description

Are you a qualified History teacher looking for a new role in OldhamTradewind Recruitment is currently looking for a resourceful and enthusiastic History teacher to join a successful secondary school in Oldham.This is a full-time temporary supply teaching role from January 2024 to April 2024 initially.The RoleTeacher of History to GCSEExperience of the AQA GCSE syllabus would be usefulPositive confident classroom management skills with a focus on Assessment for Learning.Innovative teacher able to adapt lessons to the changing needs of studentsThe academy are interested in hearing from early career teachers, experienced QTS teachers or FE lecturers with experience of teaching History to students aged 11 to 18.Five days a weekThe SchoolSuccessful 11-16 academy in OldhamOfsted graded Good since April 2016Teaching is consistently good. Teachers know the pupils well and plan interesting lessons that engage them. They follow the schools marking and feedback policy well, which ensures that pupils know what to do to improve their work. Pupils behave well and enjoy school. Located in the centre of Oldham - easily accessible on public transportA supportive positive working environment for trainee teachers and early career teachersTo join us and be successful in this History Teacher role, you will need to:

  • Hold QTS Status or QTLS or equivalent Further education qualifications such as PGCE14+ or Certificate of Education
  • This position is subject to an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references checks
  • Provide a CV with full employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained
  • Have the legal right to work full time in the UK with no restrictions
