Job Description

Are you a graduate looking for flexible work in Oldham Are you considering a career in teaching and looking to gain practical classroom experienceI am currently recruiting for enthusiastic and articulate graduates for flexible temporary work as cover supervisors in a small Ofsted Good secondary academy in Oldham.The role is to start immediately on an ad hoc day to day supply basisThe RoleGraduate Cover SupervisorWorking hours are 8.30am to 3.20pmThe role will include:

  • Taking the lead in the absence of the teacher
  • Sole responsibility for teaching and learning
  • Delivering pre-planned lessons
  • Using provided resources to encourage learning
  • Managing the behaviour within the classroom
  • Developing independent study skills and peer learning
  • Pastoral and learning support
  • Managing handover back to the teacher
  • Experience of teaching or covering Maths or English would be beneficial

  • Provide a CV with 10 years of employment/education history included and any employment breaks must be explained

  • Bachelors degree or similar equivalent qualification
  • Able to get to Oldham by 8.30 with 30 minutes notice.
