Job Description

CNC Machinist - Up to £16.50ph - OldhamAbout the CompanyMy client works for Defence and Nuclear industries. They provide in-house Coded Fabrication, Medium-Heavy CNC Machining and Complex Assembly & Testing. From small precision machined prototypes to batch manufacturing, and large turnkey projects for new supplyand refurbished industrial equipment. They supply in all industrial sectors, providing services to both Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and End Users alike.CNC Machinist - The Rewards

  • Hourly rate up to £13.50-£16.50ph
  • Shift allowance 21-33%
  • Company Pension - Employer 6%
CNC Machinist - Requirements
  • Heidenhein and Fanuc controls
  • Medium to heavy engineering experience is essential.
CNC Machinist - Responsibilities
  • To read and understand engineering drawings to ensure all parts machined conform to drawing and planning specification
  • To calculate dimensions and tolerances using knowledge of mathematics and precision instruments in order to monitor the speeds and feeds of the machine being operated
  • To set controls to regulate machining, or enter commands to retrieve, input or edit CNC controls and use control mechanisms or direct physical activity to operate machines or processes
  • To select appropriate tools, equipment and materials in preparation of machining
