Job Description

The candidate will be working alongside colleagues from our Design and Sales departments and collaborating with overseas suppliers. The role is focused on product development across all areas of Textile Home Furnishings, with a particular emphasison Bedding, Cushions and Curtains. A good knowledge of fabric production and performance parameters is required. Client DetailsA market leading textile business in the Greater Manchester office. They design and produce textiles for the Bedroom, living room etc. They have a great reputation in the industry with a number of long service employees. Description

  • Assisting in set up and organisation of Technical Files, standard swatches and lab dips
  • Inhouse testing and collating and creating swatches and samples for customer.
  • Checking production seal samples from suppliers against customer specifications, for fit, quality and colour.
  • creating new and updating current product specifications.
  • problem solving & implementing improvements where necessary.
  • liaising with UK customers, overseas suppliers and attending meetings with them as required.
  • Liaising with colleagues with regards to ideas and changes that can be made to improve the product
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
  • Team player with the ability to also work on own initiative
Profile
  • You will have previous experience with ensuring the best quality for home textiles products.
  • It is essential that you have worked with fabric production and monitored performance through your knowledge of testing.
  • Naturally you will have a keen eye for detail with an analytical mind, giving you the ability to anticipate any upcoming issues
  • You will be experienced in creating product specifications, overseeing the product from creation, through to sample, to production approvals against customer requirements.
  • Your background ideally will be within home textiles.
