Job Description

Solicitor AdvocateWe are recruiting for a Solicitor Advocate in the Sandwell area. The role will be to act as a principal advocate for aspects of advocacy legal work relating to Childrens social care and any other relevant matters, and to act as an in house counsel/solicitor/advocate in such matters.As a Solicitor Advocate you will need to have/be:

  • You must be a qualified Solicitor/Barrister or equivalent with advocacy experience
  • Knowledge of child care and adoption law
  • Knowledge of complex family court matters
    • Details:
  • Pay rate: £21.17 per hour
  • Start Date: Immediate
  • Working Hours: Full time 37 hours per week
  • Location: Sandwell area
  • Duration: Contract - Until April 2021
    • Role of a Solicitor Advocate:
  • The primary duty of this role will be to undertake the preparation and advocacy of complex and multi day childcare hearings including judicial reviews and applications, where appropriate
  • To act as in house counsel and to act as the principal advocate for all aspects of legal work relating to the relevant area of law in line with the business needs of the department
  • To provide high level and specialist advice and guidance to clients and in house team on all aspects of Childrens Social Care
