Job Description

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for new opportunities in BirminghamWinner Education are seeking an SEN Teaching Assistant on behalf of one of our client schools based in Oldbury, Birmingham. This role will start immediately on a long-term placement and will be full time. The successful applicant have previous SEN experienceand hold a minimum Level 2 or level 3 qualification.Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide general classroom support and some 1:1 when required
  • Assist the main class teacher in lesson preparation
  • Tailor learning materials to the requirement of individual learners
  • Assist with pupil progress reports
  • Liaise with outside agencies when required
  • Support the class teacher with pupil assessments and target reviews
The successful SEN teaching assistant will have:
  • A minimum of Level 2 or Level 3 qualification
  • Previous SEN experience
  • Previous experience working with KS3/4 SEN children
  • Strong resilience and patience
  • Previous experience working with children with SEMH, Autism, PMLD and sensory impairments
