Salary: Up to £25kLocation: Dudley, BirminghamContract: Full Time, PermanentCurrently working with a Top50 Accountancy firm looking for a Purchase ledger clerk to join their exciting transactional finance team based in Dudley, BirminghamMain Duties include:- To code and process purchase invoices on the purchase ledger daily- To convert foreign currency invoices into GBP and process- To maintain the payments cash book, post entries and produce daily reconciliation- To pay suppliers via Creditors BACS, manual cheques, ad hoc payments via Barclays.net and International payments via AMEX- To check Employee expenses, and prepare Expenses BACS- Supplier statement reconciliations- To chase for approval of invoices registered on systems- To perform Purchase Ledger Closedown monthly, produce reconciliation of Aged Creditor reports for purchase Ledger supervisor to review- To undertake ad hoc tasks as required from time to time by the purchase ledger supervisor to assist in the general duties of the departmentIdeal candidate should:- Have at least 2 year experience in Purchase Ledger- Have knowledge of internal controls in a purchase ledger.- Be able to work to instructions effectively, in a team environment and to process deadlines- Computerised accounting purchase-ledger experience, preferably Access Dimensions.- Have high attention to detail and, logical, and orderly in approach to processing.- Expense-claim processing knowledge and understanding.- Sound working knowledge of MS Windows-based software packages, including word processing, spreadsheets, databases, electronic mail, and the internetCould you see yourself in this role and want to know if this opportunity could be your perfect match - APPLY or get in touch now!
