Job Description

Job Title: Maintenance Engineer - Electrical & MechanicalLocation: Oldbury, West MidlandsSalary: Up to £30K (dep on exp)A 60 year old Steel specialist that has continued to grow their business through acquisition and quality, are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their Oldbury based site. They have become the biggest company of their type in the UK, employing over 100 people across 3 sites, stocking 2,000 tonnes of steel at any one time.You will join an existing team and help maintain and improve their maintenance offering by:

  • Adhering to an effective Preventative Maintenance Programme to reduce downtime and improve efficiency
  • Ensuring inspection and service tasks are carried out
  • Ensuring spares are ordered timely and stocks are managed accurately
  • Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to
  • Partake in Electrical and Mechanical repairs
    • The ideal candidate will ideally be from a heavy engineering background with experience of overhead crane systems. A mechanically biased Maintenance Engineer with electrical knowledge is essential.Working hours are 08:00 - 16:00 Mon to Fri with plenty of overtime options.If youre after stability in a time of uncertainty, this company is definitely worth considering; they have continued to grow their business when others have been forced to make cutbacks.
