Job Description

HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / HGV FitterBasic Salary: £46,000 to £48,000Hours: 4 on 4 off, 07:00 - 19:00Location: OldburyYoull make sure that the best trucks are back on the road as fast as possible when they require maintenance. Youll use the most advanced workshop systems on trucks with state-of-the-art technology. If you enjoy taking on responsibility, then well giveyou the freedom to perform diagnostics and to decide how to carry out maintenance and repairs on trucks. Youll be part of a great team with friendly colleagues.This is what youll be doing:

  • Servicing and maintaining fleet of approximately tractor units and in trailers.
  • Fault Diagnostics on vehicles
  • MOT Preparation for the vehicles
  • Weekly/ monthly checks of HGV vehicles
  • Mechanical and Electrical repairs on vehicles
This is what were looking for:
  • Ideally you will be Level 3 trained in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or be a time served technician.
  • You must demonstrate the core values of DPDs DNA - Passion, Respect, Honesty, Flexibility, Hard Work and Accountability
  • It would be advantageous if you were irtech licence qualified however this is not essential as we can provide further accreditation for this.
  • As the successful candidate you will have had experience working within a similar Heavy Goods or Heavy Plant role, or have knowledge of yellow goods repairs.
