HGV Technician£33k - £37k+ OvertimeOur client is one of the leading privately owned multi-service transport organisations in the UK. We have built our reputation on efficiency, trust, and quality over many years.Due to continual growth of the facility, we are recruiting for an experienced and motivated HGV Technician to join our Vehicle Maintenance Unit at our main Hub in Oldbury, West MidlandsWorking as a key member of the VMU team, you will carry out routine maintenance, fault diagnosis and repairs as required, ensuring our vehicles are maintained and repaired to the highest standards. As a HGV Technician your role will involve:* Service and repair of heavy and light commercial vehicles * MOT preparation and inspection work on vehicles and trailers * Fault diagnosis of both mechanical and electrical systems * Attending breakdown incidents where required * Working within H&S best practices promoting a safety-first culture * Employing a right-first-time approach to any task * Ensuring consistent quality of work within appropriate job timings * Timely completion of all specific company and official paperworkThe ideal candidate will be qualified to City & Guilds / NVQ level 3, have IRTEC accreditation and hold a clean driving licence with category C+E entitlement being a minimum. Experience with the Mercedes & Volvo brands along with Tail Lift systems would alsobe an advantage. The Package:* Shift 0600 - 1430 & 1430 - 2300 (1/2 hr Break) Monday to Friday (40 hrs) * Salary up to £33k to £37k + Overtime Earnings * 20 Days plus 8 statutory holidays (28 days in total) * Christmas week shutdown * Additional Holiday after 4 years service - Extra Day for every additional years service up to a maximum of 5 extra days* Workplace Pension * Private health care for you and your family * Death in service - £20,000 * Salary - Weekly Pay (paid every Thursday) * Career progression * Ongoing training through our independent "School of Excellence" * Full uniform and PPE provided.Acorn Recruitment acts as an employment agency for permanent recruitment.
