Job Description

Job Title : Facilities Support Officer Location : SandwellFull Time Working Hours Our client is seeking a motivated Facilities Support Officer to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities are operating efficiently, effectively and are well-maintained.Working within the Facilities Management team to provide a premise management support service across the office accommodation portfolio, to ensure a safe and operational environment for all employees and public using the establishments.Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide support to Regeneration & Growth projects and service delivery as required.
  • To comply with security protocols, for the opening and closing of premises including monitoring of intruder alarms / CCTV.
  • The production of accurate and time critical, documents, spreadsheets and correspondence using relevant ICT skills as required, which support the performance of the building, such as recording of meter readings
  • To carry out minor repairs and maintenance task on request both internally & external to the building using appropriate, equipment, and materials and power tools as necessary.
  • Maintaining, monitoring and preparation of site prior to occupancy. Checking sufficient resources and monitoring supplies throughout including the setting up of furniture and a range of audio visual equipment
  • To advise contractors, public and visitors to buildings on appropriate Health and Safety matters, including evacuation procedures.
Person Specification
  • The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following characteristics:
  • Knowledge of Premise Management requirements in respect of Health & Safety, Security systems and alarm proto calls.
  • Experience and knowledge and the ability to carry out a range of building maintenance and DIY tasks
  • Ability to organise and prioritise your own workload whilst working alone or as part of team
  • Ability to work flexible hours
  • Ability to travel to all office accommodation sites throughout the Borough quickly and effectively.
  • Proven experience as a Facilities Support Officer or similar role.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of building and maintenance systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
  • Valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
