Job Description

Cloud Services EngineerSA/BCR/9436Oldbury (but Flexible Home Working)Full TimeSalary: 25,000 to 35,000 per annumOur client is an innovative Corporate IT Solutions company who are looking for an experienced and proactive Cloud Services Engineer to join their Cloud Services Team at a senior level!You will be joining a dedicated team who have a culture and vision of collaborative working to help research, design and deliver the best possible platform to assist business with their most critical day-to-day workings.The company has fully embraced hybrid working and allows its staff to flexibly work from home, but some flexibility in hours is needed as their IT services are accessed 24/7.Cloud Services Engineer Responsibilities:Service Desk:

  • Managing a personal ticket que and ensuring all SLAs are met, completing these promptly and to a high standard
  • Maintaining a fast and effective response to calls and customer queries
  • Acting as an escalation point for managed services
Cloud Services:
  • Performing installation and disaster recovery testing for backup solutions
  • Monitor server performance and manage capacity, proactively highlighting and resolving issues
  • Developing automation to improve the delivery and quality of services
  • Developing processes and procedures for the Cloud Service team and collaborating with them to develop innovative solutions
  • Meeting all SLAs and Cloud Service quality and performance targets
Ideal Cloud Service Engineer Profile:
  • Minimum three years experience working within an MSP environment
  • Driving license
  • Able to automate processes using scripting tools
  • Strong understanding and experience of Microsoft desktop/server support
  • Extensive knowledge of automation through powershell
  • Expansive understanding of networking concepts technologies (such as DNS, TCP, firewalls etc.)
  • Strong knowledge of managing multi-site network and multi-tenant private cloud environment
  • Extensive understanding of virtualization, networking, storage, security, and backup solutions
  • Experience with the following software:
  • Nutanix HCL
  • Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktop
  • Citrix Application Delivery Controllers
  • Microsoft Hyper-V including Failover Clustering
  • Microsoft Exchange/SQL including high availability technologies
  • Cisco networking ASA, IOS and Meraki
  • Palo Alto firewalls
  • Nvidia/Mellanox networking
  • Linux system administration
  • WHM/cPanel administration
