Our client is one of Europes leading distribution companies with business interests in three main areas; Mail, Parcels and Logistics. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an AIR FREIGHT COORDINATOR based out of our clients busy site in Oldbury.Hours of work are Monday - Friday 8.00am-9.30am till 4.00pm - 5.30pm (Day Shift)Main Purpose of PositionTo be proactive in ensuring our client achieves outstanding service delivery performance and customer experience on Air Services. To own and communicate operational and specialist international advice based on analytical findings and relationships with suppliers from the International Service Delivery Team. Propose solutions and make recommendations to improve the clients International Service.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver best in class service performance and customer experience on all of our clients International Air services and exceed all KPIsProactive monitoring of Air services to identify issues, leading to remedial action with suppliers, or other departments, resolving service performance issuesWork closely with all our clients International suppliers, fostering good relationships that allow for timely provision of information to improve service for our clients customersProvide operational and commercial analysis to support the International Air Service Team Leader and Air Service Manager and all internal departments within the groupEnsuring that all operational procedures are implemented, adhered to and documented in line with the development of the International productsReviewing weekly operational procedures and issues relating to your area of responsibility with your Team Leader and Line ManagerTo provide assistance with Network inquiries and International information relating to all aspects of your areas of responsibilityInvestigate any escalations that may be received from the International Service Delivery Team Leader and Service Delivery ManagerLiaise with Customer Services, Sales and CRM and other departments as appropriate to understand the requirements of their customersAssist when required with presentations to present to Suppliers, Customers or any other stakeholderTo assist with the training of new members of the team in International Products within your area of responsibilitySupporting the IOD team by providing cross functional support for all products/services as requiredIn order to apply for this role you will have experience and skills in the following...Strong knowledge of AIR FREIGHT forwardingExport and or Imports experienceCompetent in HMRC Customs entry proceduresThey are looking for AIR FREIGHT experience gained in EXPORTS or IMPORTS ideally both, although training will be given if you only have imports or exportsYou must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to contribute to a very strong team environment. You will be familiar with working in a pressurised environment and working to tight deadlines.
