Leisure AssistantsHours: Zero Hours and Part Time, Permanent, 06.30-22.30 Monday to Friday, 07.30-18.30 Saturday and 07.30-22.30 on SundaySalary: £7.70 per hour (£8.21 per hour for over 25s)About the role:This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take on a new challenge within the leisure industry at one of the leading schools in the UK. A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is not essential; however, it must be obtained within three months.As a Leisure Assistant, you will play an integral part in the running of the Centre. Representing the sports centre in a friendly, helpful and courteous manner, you will undertake a variety of duties which include:- Lifeguarding- Sports facility set-ups- Providing first aid- Maintaining building cleanliness and general housekeeping- Providing excellent customer service.Uppingham School Enterprises can offer the successful candidate a range of benefits, which include:- A contributory pension scheme- Free lunches, during term time- Full membership of Uppingham School Sports Centre- Training and development.The Sports Centre is a dual use facility for both Uppingham School and the local community. As well as providing a first-class facility for the School’s pupils, the centre has been designed to allow increased access by local residents, sports clubs and schools. It includes a sports hall, 25m swimming pool, gym, squash courts and dance studios. The Centre also houses the School’s PE Department and includes a hospitality suite for match day entertaining.
