We’re taking part in a trial of the 4-Day Working Week, meaning that you could be working one dayless a week (or equivalent).If the trial is a success, we’ll be rolling the 4DWW out across the Group – so there’s never been a more exciting time to join #teamOFG!Job title:Humanities TeacherLocation:The Grange Therapeutic School, Knossington, OakhamSalary: £33,600per annumHours:Monday to Friday8:30am - 4:30pm (4pm Friday)Contract: Permanent, Term Time OnlyPlease note that we will interview suitable candidates as they apply and therefore this role may close early – we would urge you to apply as soon as possible.We’re looking for a Humanities Teacherto join The Grange Therapeutic School team.About the roleThe Grange is a specialist independent school which provides education, residential care and therapy for young people aged 8-18 with Education Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, ASC or related conditions.You will teach Humanities plus an additional subject across the national curriculum to students aged between 11-18 and be a form tutor for students to support them in their education.Purpose of Job:

  1. To secure high quality teaching, effective use of resources and improve standards of learning and achievement for all pupils in consultation with the Head of Education.
  2. In consultation with the Head of Education to undertake other identified areas of responsibility as necessary to ensure effective delivery of the school’s curriculum.
Essential
  • Educated to L3 or A Level equivalent
  • Relevant Humanities qualification
  • Experience of working with pupilswith SEN
  • Delivery of Humanities curriculum
Desirable
  • Degree / QTS
  • 2 or more years classroom experience preferably in secondary education
