Job Description

ü Are you a skilled and enthusiastic Retail Butcherü Do you have a passion for delivering excellent customer serviceü Are you looking for a new challengeWe are looking for a skilled and highly motivated Butcher to join the growing team of Butchers, Butchery Assistants and Deli Assistants at this high-end food retail operation.The product offering includes the finest cuts of beef, lamb, pork, poultry and game sourced froma small select group of farmers and suppliers.Reporting to the Butchery Manager the successful candidate will assist in the day to day running of this busy shop.Role & Responsibilities:

  • Butchery
  • Delivering an outstanding experience to all customers.
  • Creating inspiring, innovative, seasonally changing displays
  • Ensuring self-serve displays in chillers are attractive and shoppable
  • Proactively sharing product information with the team and with customers
  • All due diligence – health and safety, food safety etc.
  • Stock control
    • The Ideal Candidate:ü Strong knife skillsü The ability to Bone, Cut, Tie and Portion Controlü A passion for foodü Excellent customer service and sales skillsü Commercial awareness and the understanding of yields and costsü Be a good communicator at all levelsü Be honest, reliable and dedicatedü Due to use of machinery, minimum age of applicants is 18 yearsThis is a full-time position, working 5 days from 7. DAYS ONLYThe successful candidate will be joining a multi-site, multi-award winning family business with an excellent reputation in their sector and a strong customer base. In return for meeting the above criteria the successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary (remuneration dependant on skills and experience).
