Job Description

Are you a qualified Support workerAre you proficient in supporting people with additional needsAre you looking for an opportunity to transfer your experience into a role working with young peopleA specialist primary SEN school situated in Nuneaton are looking torecruit a Support worker to assist with KS1/2 as an SEN Teaching assistant. This role is full time, Monday - Friday, 8:30am-15:30pm up until the end of the academic year with the opportunityto become a permanent staff. This is an Ofsted goodgraded school which carries an excellent reputation in its local community along with its ability to support pupils with a range of additional needs.The school supports pupils with a comprehensive range of complex needs including Autism Spectrum Condition, which leads to interaction or communication difficulties. Due to the specific needs of the pupils, the school are now looking to appoint a supportworker who can use their training, experience, and personality to support the young people as Teaching assistants in the classroom.The available position will involve working directly with pupils who have Autism and complex needs, so we are ideally looking for a Support worker who has experience in moving and handling, and significant experience working with children or adults who havecomplex needs would be favourable but not essential.The idealSupport worker for this SEN Teaching assistant positionwill have:

  • Experience working with individuals with SEN in any capacity.
  • Experience working within a Care or Residential Sector
  • Moving and handling training and experience operating a hoist (desirable)
