Job Description

SOFTWARE ENGINEER / SOFTWARE DESIGN ENGINEER / FIRMWARE ENGINEERWARWICKSHIRE / LEICESTERSHIRE BORDER£35k - £45k (DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE)Grafton Recruitment are looking to recruit a Software Engineer for a technologically advanced engineering company. This is a new position that has been created due to business growth.THE ROLE:As a Software Engineer you will be required to:

  • Develop both new and existing products
  • Create and test prototypes
  • Produce specifications and technical reports
  • Adhere to safety regulations
  • Attend meetings with customers and suppliers
  • Keep abreast of advancements in technology and regulations
  • Provide technical support to customers
    • THE CANDIDATE:The ideal Software Engineer:
  • Degree educated or equivalent in Software Engineering or Computer Science
  • Working knowledge of embedded software and/or firmware development
  • Embedded C/C++ or other high level languages
  • Webpage/website design experience - HTML, Java Programming, HTML5 apps
  • Ability to read electronic schematics
  • Knowledge of IP protocols and interfaces
  • Well versed with computer architecture and networking
  • Unix/Linux environments and embedded Linux
  • Customer centric approach
