Job Description

We have an exciting opportunity for remote based Technical Support, Senior Advisor to join us on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will play a vital role providing food safety, technical and quality support across our UK based manufacturing sites and will work closely with our Group/Site Technical, Commercial and Operations Teams. Joinour team to see how our best can be made of yours!SDUKs brands include the Nations favourite cheese brand Cathedral City plus other well-known butter & spreads (Clover, Country Life, Vitalite, Utterly Butterly), functional ingredients and dairy free products.YOULL MAKE CONTRIBUTIONS THAT MATTER BY

  • Providing food safety, technical and quality support to the manufacturing site teams and wider technical team.
  • Being the lead manager for group level technical contracts such as Rentokil, Red Tractor and others as deemed necessary by the Group Technical Manager, ensuring requisite technical requirements and supporting Key Performance Indicators are incorporatedand monitored.
  • Supporting implementation of the Manufacturing Performance System (MPS) food safety and quality strategy within each manufacturing site, raw milk supply chain and Logistics & Customer Operations warehousing sites.
  • Being the primary technical contact for all retailers, ensuring regular communication is maintained, including organising and leading quarterly site reviews where appropriate.
  • Being the primary technical contact for third party manufacturers, co-packers and food service in relation to food safety and quality.
YOURE BEST SUITED FOR THE ROLE IF YOU ARE
  • Able to demonstrate previous technical management experience at site/group level within a chilled food environment. Degree qualified in Food Science or related science subject would be desirable.
  • Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of quality management systems including BRCGS.
  • Able to demonstrate familiarity with retailer standards and codes of practice and experience of retailer and third-party audits.
  • Able to demonstrate where you have successfully engaged a wide range of stakeholders at all levels across a business.
