Job Description

As a member of the Central Security Operations Team; you will have direct responsibility in supporting the effective and resilient delivery of Uniparts proprietary Manned Guarding services. You will be responsible for the assurance of a safe and secureworking environment; to proactively reduce risk exposure to Unipart and its customers, and by ensuring that all sites in scope are robustly protected through the effective deployment of Uniparts proprietary manned guarding service. You will reduce lossesfrom impacting security incidents and security related claims through effective manned guarding services. You will correctly assess and identify security risks, and effectively work with the Security Operations Managers to implement corrective actions andprogress reports. You will support security related projects with areas of responsibility when required and drive positive customer feedback to ensure manned guarding/security services are seen as business enablers and differentiators.About the Role

  • To have direct responsibility to ensure the effective and efficient operational provision of Uniparts Manned Guarding services.
  • Provision of a dedicated portfolio ensuring all sites are 100% correctly resourced.
  • To conduct regular site visits to ensure that any scheduled tasks and Assignment Instructions are reviewed, updated, and current with operational requirements.
  • Liaise with the management and the client on all aspects of the service delivery, responding to requests and complaints with accurate information in a timely manner
  • Proactively identify areas that require improvement and innovation using the Unipart Way tools and techniques
  • Support team responsibility for accuracy of pay and scheduling / rostering
  • Investigate pay queries of officers in a timely manner
  • Ensure genuine wage errors are reported to HR / Payroll department in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance to the specified KPIs and SLAs as detailed in the assignment instructions
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards i.e. BS EN ISO 9001; BS7499; and BS7858
  • Ensure all officers have completed relevant training and it has been accurately signed off and recorded.
  • To ensure contractual hours are met weekly in a cost-effective manner
  • To take remedial action where performance does not meet the standard required
  • Ensure the optimum resources are available through constant replenishment of turnover through active recruitment
  • To effectively manage the mobilisation of new contracts with minimum disruption
  • To periodically act as Duty Manager as required
About You
  • Extensive demonstrable experience in managing complex guarding contracts at multiple regional locations at a senior level
  • Proven experience of effectively managing teams and individuals in complex security and risk management environments
  • Demonstrable in-depth knowledge of Timegate system or similar resourcing software
  • Ability to effectively investigate breaches of policy that may lead to disciplinary action; and demonstrate experience of conducting in-depth management / personnel investigations
  • High level of experience in managing resource and rota management
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • High level of PC literacy, in particular word / excel / ppt/ Google workspace skills
  • Experience in prioritising own workload around tight deadlines in a pressurised environment.
  • Application and management of physical security systems to ensure control measures remain operationally effective
  • Ability to travel Nationwide as required
  • Holder of a valid SIA Guarding/Door Supervisor licence.
  • Preferableproven experience of working in complex Supply Chain Logistics or Transportation Security environments
  • Preferable - formal security certifications / management qualification as a result of courses from accredited professional security bodies
