School Nurse Assistant - Maternity Cover (March 2024-January 2025)32.5hrs per week, term time only.Salary £22,816.00 pro rata (£16,837.53 actual salary)Special School NursingEnhance Learning and Support is a specialised nursing service in the field of learning disabilities, we provide support to a number of schools across Warwickshire to support children and young people with learning disabilities access school regardless oftheir health needs.Enhance Learning and Support school nursing team consists of a Service Manager, School Nurses, School Nursing Assistant, Healthcare Assistants and Support Workers to meet the diverse needs of our customers. We all work across different bases to ensure continuityof our service. The school nursing team is committed to providing high quality health care to children and young people in a special school setting.Enhance Learning and Support has an opportunity available for someone to cover maternity leave one of our Nursing Assistants at Oak Wood School in Nuneaton, they will join an already established School Nursing service at Oak Wood School. Oak Wood Schoolprovides educational provision to children and young people with additional needs aged from 4-19 years across both primary and secondary school.The successful applicant will be based at Oak wood School in Nuneaton, across both primary and secondary school, they will work under the guidance of the School Nurse at Oak Wood but will be supervised under the management of the Service Manager at EnhanceLearning and Support.The maternity post is for 32.5hrs per week, working Mon-Fri 8.30am-3pm, term time only. Maternity cover will start in April 2024; however, it would be ideal if the position can be filled by March 2024 to ensure a handover is given and training is undertaken.This cover is required until January 2024, this is fixed maternity cover and as such, the appointment is temporary and may finish earlier if the post holder wishes to return from maternity earlier.The post is to assistant the School Nurse in meeting the complex health needs of the pupils attending Oak Wood School, this will include daily undertaking of clinical skills including NG feeding, Gastrostomy feeding, medication administration, stoma careetc and will depend on the complex needs of pupils attending school.
