Job Description

Job Title: Production/Purchasing PlannerLocation: NuneatonSalary: up to £35kJob Type: PermanentThe RoleOur client is an established precision engineering company which is based in the Midlands. They for varying industries and has been offering them a seamless service for over 60 years. My client offers the most consistent quality products/services with theirprecision engineering and is constantly expanding as a result.Duties and responsibilities:Planning responsibilities:

  • To be able to deal with all orders, as well as being able to deal with deliveries.
  • To be able to effectively communicate with all stakeholders (customers, shop floor)
  • To manage, as well as monitor production KPIs.
  • To support the operations team with management of the shop floor.
Purchasing responsibilities:
  • To be able to obtain quotes for materials, sub-contract operations and tools/consumables.
  • To place orders for all materials, sub-contract operations and tools/consumables.
  • To effectively manage and communicate with suppliers and ensure a good relationship.
  • To manage all of the stock of all consumables/tools.
The Candidate
  • To have experience with MRP or production management software or system.
  • To have experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
  • To be able to understand engineering readings/drawings.
  • To understand machining processes and manufacturing techniques.
  • To understand process and material specifications.
