Job Description

PMO Analyst / PMO SupportAs a PMO (Project Management Office) Analyst / PMO Support you will be in charge of overseeing all PMO operations. This includes building detailed project plans, tracking project budget, tracking progress, and analysing project data to identify areas of improvement.Key responsibilities include:

  • Under the guidance of the Head of Project Management, ensure the required level of PMO governance and control is applied to the Portfolio/Programme
  • Provide advice and guidance to relevant Stakeholders
  • Initiation and ongoing management of RAID and lessons learnt logs through regular engagement with the Portfolio/Programme teams
  • Produce weekly status reports for management meetings together with supporting relevant MI
  • Be proactive in the ongoing development and improvement of the PMO Service
  • Support the Head of Project Management in the day to day delivery of PMO management activities.
  • Working in conjunction with Project Managers to maintain a Project Delivery Framework, including RACI, processes and templates
  • Coordinating the rollout of new processes to the Project
  • Managers and establishing requirements for additional training/knowledge sharing
  • Providing ongoing support on the Change Delivery Framework and processes and ensuring that any new process or change to existing process is rolled out in a clear and logical manner
  • Providing PMO Analyst support and guidance to Project Managers
  • Performing Project Assurance activities from data held in Clarizen including Health checks on all work streams within any project, analysing and documenting the output and deliverables, highlighting areas for improvement, trends and mitigating actions forthe Solution Delivery team to take forward with the functional managers
  • Tracking trends from the project health checks, identifying areas for improvement and setting up training sessions accordingly
  • Automating the weekly Project Status Reports, performing quality assurance checks on the accuracy of data and addressing remediating actions with the Project Managers prior to distribution to Executive Level
  • Ensuring resourcing is managed and reported on

  • Proven experience as a PMO Analyst having worked on large scale projects delivering to internal and external customers (desirable)
  • Ideally you would have also been involved in setting up a PMO team however this is not essential (desirable)
