Job Description

Nuneaton, WarwickshireShift pattern: 4 on / 4 off – 12.25 hour shifts rotating on days & nights – working all through weekends & bank holidaysSaputo Dairy UK is a producer of leading British food brands and value-added ingredients. We also manufacture specialised ingredients used in infant formula.What you’ll do at Saputo Dairy UKYou will be responsible for machinery flow is optimised by addressing the short stops and acting as the first line of equipment maintenance.Handling of all materials on site and the safe processing of all waste through the appropriate waste streams.This role will ensure that all site equipment will have the necessary materials (card, film, wrap, zip and labels) to operate on a day-to-day basis.You will

  • Operate food manufacturing related machinery
  • Ensure product quality and integrity to ensure we protect the consumer and the brand.
  • Supporting the Cheese packing line
  • Work within a temperature controlled environment (10 degrees celcius)
  • Perform periodic stock counts and ensure system and physical records match.
  • Optimise equipment performance to meet and exceed key performance indicators in the areas of safety, quality, cost and service and act as the first level of repair, addressing short stops on equipment.
  • Manage and handle all waste streams to and through the correct processes.
  • Highlight and share with their peer group best practice and key learning’s to ensure optimum performance across a shift system.
  • Cleans, checks, fault finds and problem solves materials handling equipment.

  • A pass at GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Able to demonstrate a track record of working as part of a team

  • Experience within a food-processing environment
  • NVQ Level 2 Engineering
