Are you a Healthcare Professionals with experience of working in a hospital with an understanding of IPC issues Do you have good communication skills, including a good telephone manner and the ability to remain calm under pressureAbout the Role - Band 5 Contact Tracer - George Eliot Hospital Healthcare ProfessionalThis key service will significantly help disrupt transmission of the COVID-19 virus by breaking the chain of transmission between individuals through contacting people who have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and identifying those people with whom they have had contact. Once these contacts have been identified, they can also be contacted and provided with health protection advice including the need to self-isolate.You will already be a healthcare professional with hospital experience and an understanding of infection prevention in relation to COVID-19. Working flexibly as part of our infection prevention and control team you will provide public health advice, contact tracing and telephone management of a complex caseload. By working as aContact Tracer, you will be responsible for completing the initial telephone interview/assessment of COVID-19 cases who have tested positive and who are inpatient or outpatient at George Eliot Hospital, understanding their situation and assisting in the tracing and tracking of anyone they have been in contact with. This crucial role has been developed to complement theNational Contact Tracing programme and will allow you to further play your part in defeating the pandemic.Key features and responsibilities of this role include:
