The RoleThis is an exciting opportunity for an experienced person to join our passionate and knowledgeable Technical Support team as the Technical Consultant. This exciting role will see you being the technical expert, providing market leading, bespoke and creditable solutions to customers.The Technical Support Team has the vision to be the specifiers first choice in obtaining solutions which supports our strategy to drive specifications. Our technical support service needs to go beyond customers expectations with the delivery of high quality, market leading technical advice in a timely manner.What will you be doing in the roleIn the role as job title you will;

Build key customer relationships with specifiers, main contractor design teams and selected sub-contractors to meet required service level agreements along with commercial benefit to British Gypsum and Saint-Gobain group businesses

Support the coaching and training of the Technical Support team, Technical Sales and Marketing teams building their technical capability

Provide technical advice to allocated customers using evidence whilst maximising commercial benefit

Liaise with professional and trade bodies to keep abreast of the latest technical and legislative knowledge related to all products and systems used within the construction industry

Recognise opportunities for upselling and cross-selling and experiment in the nature of responses, so as to provide an outstanding service to customers whilst optimising specifications.

Customer account experience

Building experience and are familiar with British Gypsum products/systems

An understanding of construction procurement and how to influence
